Fraxinus Lite is a third-party instrument library for Audiomodern Soundbox, a free sample-based virtual instrument available for macOS, Windows and iOS/iPadOS.
Soundbox provides the playback engine for the library, so you don’t need to purchase an additional sampler to use Fraxinus Lite. Once the library has been imported, its instruments and presets are available directly from the Soundbox interface.

How to Install Fraxinus Lite
Installing Fraxinus Lite takes only a few steps:
- Download the Fraxinus Lite archive.
- Windows: Extract the archive using 7-Zip. Standard WinRAR extraction may not work correctly with this archive.
- macOS: Extract the downloaded archive normally.
- Open Audiomodern Soundbox in your DAW.
- Click the Import Pack button in Soundbox.
- Select the Fraxinus Lite library included in the extracted files.
- Once imported, the instruments and presets are ready to use.
No additional configuration is required.
Important for Windows users: If you experience problems opening or extracting the downloaded archive, use 7-Zip rather than WinRAR.
